During the holidays I found myself a little short on patience dealing with my toddler and my newborn. At one point I told my toddler that I was upset and angry with a behavior that she had just displayed. She looked at me and asked me if Jesus was in my heart. This came from a previous discusion we had about "the mad king" (Herod, from one of her Christmas books). It was so sweet to see her trying to figure out where anger and Jesus fit together. It was enough of a jolt for me to stop and pray and refocus on my kids instead of the hustle and bustle.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05999406269291968822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2191349635609048490.post-44926909203200545992010-01-11T16:33:32.186-05:002010-01-11T16:33:32.186-05:00I read your original post and totally agree that s...I read your original post and totally agree that sometimes it's just hard to know where to begin. My son is 2, but I've been hesitant to read scripture to him for fear that it would be too much for him to understand and would overwhelm him to the point that he wouldn't be interested when he was old enough to understand. However, I think you have a point. My son doesn't have to understand everything that he hears - it will help both of us for me to read scripture to him. Who knows how God will reach out to Him through the scripture & what my son will pick up in these daily readings? Thank you for challenging me to overcome my hesitance and not wait until my son is "old enough" to share the Word with him. :)
Also, I am really glad I stumbled across your blog - I just became a follower. I am really into natural & organic living as well as all things the Lord...your blog is a refreshing blend of these that I am looking forward to reading in the future. :)

God Bless,
Jessica

http://mylifeincurls.blogspot.com/soul_searching_mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17020821321662034792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2191349635609048490.post-6399324137843991582010-01-09T14:19:54.314-05:002010-01-09T14:19:54.314-05:00My mom worked long hours at our family-owned/runne...My mom worked long hours at our family-owned/runned restaurant.
