I tried this after I saw your post and IT DOES WORK. I did mention to my husband that I think they were breeding in there because my goodness they multiplied daily. I froze the jar a couple nights ago and dumped it the next day. Time to start again. This was the easiest way to keep them at bay because we have them all over this year. So glad you had posted it!
wow! so they fly in and can't get out? and then you kill them how? sorry to be a dunce but we had a horrible fly problem not too long ago and were dying for a way to control it.
Much of what I write is inspired by God. He gave me the idea and allows me to be a steward of it. Please respect my authorship and stewardship of all content on this blog. Isn't it amazing? Yes, they will breed, so I 're-set' mine every day....but I was pretty sure you'd love something free and childsafe and nontoxic!

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one with a fruit fly issue this year. I should try out your trick.
