She has the potential to be a mountain climber.
One small step is all it takes.
And delighted in her newfound climbing abilities.

They must take after their father.
Hooking up with Wordless Wednesday over at 5 Minutes for Mom, even though it is SOPA Black Out Day.
She likes to sing.
And open her mouth.
Sing some more.
And I guess . . . smile for the camera. Because when I pulled the camera out – she opened her mouth.
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.
(Psalm 51:15)

At a recent Boys Only Club event, some local boys were seen being dangerous.
And it was encouraged.
If you struggle to allow that little boy of yours to practice hurdling his body through the air (or launching other objects into the sky), I highly recommend you read Wild At Heart by John Eldridge and/or Bringing Up Boys by James Dobson.
These two books have saved me from being the constant “NO! Mom.”
So when these boys asked for a napkin, we said, “Be a man . . . wipe it off.”
Kind of. Well, yes we did say that. They were in and out of the sprinkler. Who needs napkins when you are already wet?
Or toys?
Even video games?
When you can play with fire.
Other boy books:
And that should be enough to get you started on your degree in boys . . .
For other Wordless Wednesday posts that actually have few words . . . visit 5 Minutes for Mom. I just got carried away.
And I totally spaced that I was supposed to create a list for my Warrior Prayer ladies of boy books . . .
My heart melts when I see the Engineer with Naomi.
Seeing those rugged hands that wrestle three sons hold our delicate mixture of pink and smiles. . .
Makes me sigh in gratitude.
We haven’t arranged the marriage . . . yet.
Talking . . .
Listening . . .
Ezra must have learned his moves from his dad? When asked if we could take a picture, instantly my little man put his arm around his precious childhood friend and his hand on her knee!
And thankfully, we know her dad . . . or Ezra might be in a lot of trouble.
Sweet. Precious. Innocence.
I love how my Ezra is very chivalrous and protective of little ladies.

Trader Joes has some chocolate. And we are just finishing up potty training Gabe.
Using Endangered Species Chocolate was getting to be a tad bit expensive . . . not to mention if felt like we were literally flushing it down the toilet. {Sorry.}
So, I discovered that Trader Joes sells one pound of chocolate. A gigantic chocolate bar.
It screamed, “Take a picture of me!” So I did. My model was very willing. I paid him in chocolate.
Don’t worry, we are doing some healthy things around here – like counter-top yogurt (tutorial coming soon!}.
In fact, tonight Ezra asked if we were eating anything fermented . . . because normally we do and our tabled lacked some bacteria for dinner. Plenty of local produce, free range chicken, and organic butter . . . just no kimchi or kombucha or water kefir soda.
When you consider God’s promise to Abraham that his descendants would number the sands on the seashore . . . it is a little mind boggling.
And we were only in Michigan.
The law of gravity: what goes up, must come down.
Who says you can’t pretend to ski with the assistance of said gravity. . . on a sand dune?
Or show of your danger skills?

I’ve had a companion the past couple of times. He has spent the majority of his day in his own special chair.
Beside me. While I pray for him.
. . . . And I learn about grace. The need to dish it about a bit more liberally. Reply gently. Make my voice and words like honey. Have eye contact.
A gentle smile. A kind look.
Even when the dog grabs the poop out of the potty and makes a bee-line for the great outdoors with her loot.
I know . . . too much information.
So that they actually know I DID pray for them today.
I, too, am applying what I am praying for them.
If you are praying for your sons, today the focus is on obedience. Are you obeying the Lord in the same way you are praying for your children?
Humph . . . this was supposed to be a Wordless Wednesday post. Looks like I combined a plethora of thoughts today . . . kind of demonstrates what my day has been like.
I never knew a tongue could be an accessory . . . but it can be.
When Naomi is awake . . . you can always find her sporting her tongue.

(By the way, I can’t get the apostrophe to show up on my title.)
We have several teeth missing in our household (dog included).
Here . . . allow me to draw you closer to the monumental action . . . really quite an amazing process.
Since were were . . . forced to know. (Thanks impacted tooth.)
Moral of the story: put your child in a cage so they can’t get hurt. Well . . . then again, a boy could find some way to get hurt if put in a cage.
So, moral of the story: pray for the Lord’s protection over your children.
Precious boy.
He has no idea what a big deal it is to loose your first tooth. Have I mentioned how big his tooth was? No wonder it didn’t come down on its own.
However . . . it was a pretty hard fall.
Moving on to other lost teeth . . .
And people who want to loose teeth . . .
Lastly, people who are growing teeth . . .
However . . . I will not open my puppy’s alligator-like mandible to take a picture of her teeth for you.
I am kind of hoping that all her teeth fall out at once.
