I was asked to prepare communion for my SIL’s wedding. So I said, “Self, how can I make this unique. Something that would really honor Jesus and bless the happy couple?”
And I answered, “He would probably like some kombucha paired with homemade pita bread. After all, kombucha is fermented. Since I don’t drink and they don’t drink . . . kombucha sounds like a perfect fit. And pita bread . . . well, thanks to Emily, I’ve got a real middle eastern recipe.”
