What a book! Crazy!
Wonderland Creek by Lynn Austin was quite a book to read. Parts of it made me mad!
Main character, Alice Grace Ripley, likes to read books. (I don’t know anyone like that do you?) Her avid book reading destroys her relationship with her boyfriend, and even infringes on reality.
When Alice loses her job as a librarian, she rashly decides to travel to Kentucky to deliver five boxes of donated books to a coal-mining town . . . that is a little off its rocker. She becomes imbedded into this ludicrous culture . . . and essentially held hostage.
Filled with adventure and unrealistic suspense, I did enjoy Wonderland Creek.
