30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 9

Connie, over at From the Heart of My "Haus" is celebrating 30 days of Thanks during the month of November. Be sure to visit her blog and link up with us as we celebrate God's goodness.

I am thankful that . . .

1. The day is over and I took a shower.

2. Mr. Smiley loved riding on my back while I mowed, and the older two boys ran around like the Travelocity Gnomes, with cone-like colorful buckets on their heads.

3. I left one square-foot garden open for business yesterday which provided an hour of energetic digging for ladybugs and fulfilled the desire in the Granola boys' lives to get dirty.

4. Mussie is still alive. She ate the pumpkin muffins that I made from Evolving Mommy. I have been wanting to make them for so long. And she ate 11 of them. Her body has been reeling from it with Walter-like farts.

5. I think I am married to the coolest man on earth, not to mention he loves Jesus. He rode his bike to work again today. The boys delight in greeting him with great fanfare when he arrives home. (And yes that is our rain barrel.)

6. I got one step closer to becoming organized and winning the paperwork battle.

7. I think that I am going to love the new curriculum I am using with Mr. Me-Too for letter recognition.

8. While in the car tonight, I listened to U2 (of course). I was encouraged by their song Love Resuce Me (click if you want to hear it).

Love rescue me
Come forth and speak to me
Raise me up and don't let me fall
No man is my enemy
My own hands imprison me
Love rescue me

Many strangers have I met
On the road to my regret
Many lost who seek to find themselves in me
They ask me to reveal
The very thoughts they would conceal
Love rescue me

And the sun in the sky
Makes a shadow of you and I
Stretching out as the sun sinks in the sea
I'm here without a name
In the palace of my shame
I said, love rescue me

In the cold mirror of a glass
I see my reflection pass
See the dark shades of what I used to be
See the purple of her eyes
The scarlet of my lies
Love rescue me

Yea, though I walk
In the valley of the shadow
Yea, I will fear no evil
I have cursed thy rod and staff
They no longer comfort me
Love rescue me

Sha la la sha la la...
I said love
Love rescue me

I said love
Climb up the mountains, said love
I said love, oh my love
On the hill of the son
I'm on the eve of a storm
And my word you must believe in, oh
I said love, rescue me
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Yeah, I'm here without a name
In the palace of my shame
I said, love rescue me

I've conquered my past
The future is here at last
I stand at the entrance
To a new world I can see
The ruins to the right of me
Will soon have lost sight of me
Love rescue me

oh, your poor puppy (well, ok, poor BIG DOGGIE)!! That's kind of funny though since she seems to be ok. :)
Congrats on the shower ... I so know what you mean that it is quite an accomplishment. And thanks for continuing to share your blessings & inspirations!
