Connie, over at From the Heart of My "Haus" is celebrating 30 days of Thanks during the month of November. Be sure to visit her blog and link up with us as we celebrate God's goodness.

I choose to be thankful that . . .

  1. I didn't fall asleep while driving for 2+ hours around the interstate, desperately trying to get Mr. Smiley to sleep, despite his double ear infection.
  2. I resisted temptation and didn't stop to get a Crap-A-Chino to keep me awake and reward myself. I didn't go by any open Starbucks, though I know they exist at 3 AM.
  3. Even though I HATE drugs, there are pharmacies that are open in the middle of the night.
  4. Mr. Smiley has nursed a long time (17+ months). I won't take it personally or feel like a failure if my milk dries up because it is so uncomfortable for him to nurse right now.

I am thankful for . . . .

  1. Seeing Mr. Smiley actually smile today.
  2. That Hottie Hubbie and I work well together as a team.
  3. I might be getting a new dishwasher tonight. Hottie Hubbie is looking at them presently.
  4. Date night is tonight (a stay-at-home date night, that is)
  5. It is a beautiful day.
  6. My Chai was good this morning. And yes, I had caffeine.
  7. Sometimes my herbs and essential oils actually do work and bring comfort.

Please leave a thankful comment at these lovely ladies who are also blogging about thankfulness . . .

I hope Mr. Smiley's ear infections clear up soon! They are no fun! We've had a few around here, but thankfully never double ear infections.

Hopefully the new dishwasher works out for you too, I don't know what I'd do without mine!

Oh, it's your little man who has the ear infections? Poor guy - and tired mama!

Sounds like a good night to spend time with your hubby at home... Hope you all get some much needed rest tonight!

I am glad Mr. Smiley is smiling again! Poor little guy - I hope he isn't quite as miserable any more & you all can rest! Good for you for avoiding the Starbucks - though I'm not sure I could have been that strong as you were!! WTG! :)
Enjoy your evening - It sure was a gorgeous day here too - sun, warmth, open windows, children playing outside.

So sorry you had a really rough night last night. We did too...Avery was up w/ a cough part of the night. Poor little guys! I will pray that you ALL have a restful night tonight. I'm impressed that you drove around for 2 HOURS! WOW! I wouldn't have the stamina to drive that long even during the day. Get to feeling better Mr. Smiley!
